How to Get Involved - Interested Canadian Partners

As all POP proposals must originate from Chinese Implementing Partner (ChIP), the Canadian Implementing Partner's (CIP) role is to support and coordinate in Canada.

Upon approval of a sub-project proposal by CIDA, Agriteam Canada will identify an appropriate Canadian Implementing Partner (CIP). A standard Request for Proposal (RFP) will be distributed electronically to the specialists’ network via e-mail and the POP website.

Responsibilities of the CIP include:

  •  in collaboration with their ChIPs, develop their sub-project work plans with appropriate activities to achieve the expected sub-project results;
  • provide appropriate Canadian technical expertise to undertake activities to achieve expected sub-project results;
  • manage the sub-project budget and financial resources;
  • in collaboration with their ChIPs, implement the activities in their approved sub-project work plan;
  • monitor and report to Agriteam Canada on progress in the implementation of the sub-project and the achievement of results;
  • provide to Agriteam Canada a final sub-project report on the results achieved and lessons learned.
